EVOCA™ ANNOUNCES ITS FREE AUDIO WEB SERVICE ENABLES EBAY SELLERS TO ADD VOICE TO LISTINGS
Service Makes It Easy for Mainstream Users to Create, Organize, Share and Search Voice Recordings
Las Vegas, June 10-12, 2006 – During the eBay Developers Conference at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Evoca announced its service is available, starting immediately, to eBay sellers who want to use their voices to describe listings.
Adding voice via Evoca is easy as making a phone call, phoning EvocaTell™, its in-bound recording service, from anywhere in the world. Evoca’s innovative technology also includes EvocaMic™, which allows people to record at their computers using the in-browser recorder.
Evoca also enables uploading an existing recording to paste directly into a listing. HTML code is provided with each recording, making it simple to embed an audio player into any eBay listing. Buyers can listen to the sound on eBay by clicking a play button.
All Evoca recordings can be tagged, organized in albums, posted to blogs, shared as podcasts through RSS feeds, emailed, and downloaded to an iPod™.
eBay Powerseller Carlos Vargas describes the difference Evoca has made for his item listings: “My sales have increased since I added my voice to my listings. It lets buyers know there is a real person behind the item.”
Co-founded by Murem Sharpe and Diego Orjuela, technology entrepreneurs, Evoca is headquartered in Savannah, Georgia and has already won attention for its innovative technology. Available to the public since March, Evoca is garnering thousands of members worldwide.
