We have scoured the press pages, bloglines, tech tags, and local news sources to come up with these examples. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

Bringing Your Voice to the Web Robin Raskin In my last post I wrote about a web-based app for working with video, One True Media. Today I stumbled across a sweetheart of an application designed to do the same thing with audio―make it easy for people everywhere to make their voices heard. For those of you in the audio-know, think of Evoca as a stripped down version of GarageBand or Audacity, but totally web-based.More...

Savannah Company Launches Audible Web Service Mar. 20--The written word? That's yesterday's way to express yourself online. Audio files are the future, according to Evoca CEO Murem Sharpe and COO Diego Orjuela, who founded the Savannah-based Internet company in January 2005. "I've observed a lot of people (who) had a lot of interesting things to say and their words were not being captured," Sharpe said. So, she and Orjuela came up with the idea for www.evoca.com. After months of development, the Evoca crew launched the Web site on March 15. The site allows users to create content by using an internal or external microphone, cell phone or by uploading an audio file. It also has an audible search engine that allows users to find submissions featuring the spoken word they seek.

Evoca Sounds Off to Odeo Posted by Michael Arrington Evoca has a strong case for getting it at least mostly right. And just to get it out of the way - what I consider to be the killer feature to pull ahead of the crowd, and of course what none of these companies have yet, are even simple tools to edit, enhance and otherwise manipulate a recording.More...
So far, the online service has been used by bloggers, musicians, students and religious groups to showcase their ideas and sounds. Shannon Scott, the creator of the Sixth Sense Savannah ghost tour, said the Web tool is his new "favorite toy." "Anytime I have some free time, I'm either recording my own stories or interviewing people," Scott said.
Scott uses the site to share his tales of the paranormal beyond the city squares.
"I'm excited to let the world tap into Savannah and get stories from a long-time story teller," Scott said. Local blogger Drew Odom said he uses Evoca's audio feature, which can be incorporated easily onto other Web sites, to embellish the online journal he and his wife keep. "I found that there were certain things I was writing that weren't getting my emotion across," Odom said. "When we added that audio we were able to emphasize what we wanted to emphasize." More...

For free, you can record up to 15 minutes from your phone and have Evoca automatically upload it to your blog or Web site. More minutes and more features cost $29.95 for 1 year. "That is the true, simplest, dumbed-down version of podcasting," Rudd said. More...
Audio is well suited for use in SCAD e-Learning, according to Naylor-Johnson, because it can be easily edited and distributed. Its portability is an added bonus. More...
Evoca lo veo como un "flickr" pero de audio. Cyberfrancis
This is one of the coolest things I've seen for a blog in a long time!
For those that don't know, and I'm sure that most don't evoca allows you to post audio on your blog. It doesn't use your bandwith since the audio is hosted offsite! You can also record from your cell phone on the run, or upload .wav files from you pc! Chris Savage
A new wave of content creation start ups is birthing. This one is a winner.
Evoca is just dead simple: record/store whatever audio file you want and share it. But they do it smartly and simply. Ouriel
It has everything I need. It's integrated with Skype so you can make free Skype phone calls to record. This is a great service for poscasters, bloggers (who want to add a bit of oomph to their site - blogger is the only pre-built blog at the moment), and just about anyone else who has a need to share and manage audio. Saul Weiner
If you're in business and want to get involved in podcasting then this development is good news. Robert J. Safuto
Ya pueden ver lo fácil y sencillo que es crear podcast con Evoca, empowering your voice, sinceramente sencillo y práctico. Bicubic
It's definitely a site to watch.
The Skype posting is awesome and it looks like a very cool and funky little company. Jonathan Mosen
