TVEyes, the real-time broadcast search provider, developed Podscope the first engine to search within a podcast, making spoken word searchable within an audio recording. TVEyes, which has been indexing television and radio broadcasts since 1999, introduced Podscope in April 2005. With this partnership, Evoca taps into Podscope's range of proprietary technologies to index audio feeds to enable Evoca Members to search audio by keyword - just as a search engine is used for text searches.. Evoca™ enables the search on terms resulting from the Podscope audio indexing process, instantly generating a list of results ranked by relevance, and presenting a "player" for the Evoca Member to simply click to listen to an audio clip containing the relevant term. The Evoca Member can decide whether to click to play or click to download. In addition, Evoca offers meta-tag or text search to be generated by the same keyword request. Podscope creates an index against every word, making the contents searchable.

The National Story Telling Network offers direct services, publications and educational opportunities to several thousand individuals, local storytelling guilds and associations. These services are designed to improve the quality of storytelling at all levels - in entertainment venues, in classrooms and libraries, and wherever storytelling can make a contribution to quality of life. To facilitate that process, NSN sponsors the National Storytelling Conference in cooperation with local or regional members at a different location each year. The Conference provides educational workshops, demonstration programs and the National Storytelling Awards ceremony that recognizes storytelling excellence, leadership and service across the country. Other services offered by NSN include StoryNet, the NSN website, Storytelling Magazine dealing with "nuts-and-bolts" issues associated with the art form, and a National Storytelling Directory. One of NSN's most widely known programs is Tellabration!, a night of storytelling around the world that was developed by a community guild more than ten years ago.

The Oral History Association (of the United States), established in 1966, seeks to bring together all persons interested in oral history as a way of collecting human memories. With an international membership, the OHA serves a broad and diverse audience. Local historians, librarians and archivists, students, journalists, teachers, and academic scholars from many fields have found that the OHA provides both professional guidance and collegial environment for sharing information. In addition to fostering communication among its members, the OHA encourages standards of excellence in the collection, preservation, dissemination and uses of oral testimony. To guide and advise those concerned with oral documentation, the OHA has established a set of goals, guidelines, and evaluation standards for oral history interviews. Oral history is a method of gathering and preserving historical information through recorded interviews with participants in past events and ways of life. It is both the oldest type of historical inquiry, predating the written word.

The International Oral History Association (IOHA) was formally constituted in June 1996 at the 9th International Oral History Conference in Goteborg, Sweden. The Association provides a forum for oral historians around the world, in order to foster international communication and cooperation and a better understanding of the nature and value of oral history. The Association meets every two years in a different region or continent. The Association is governed by a Council elected at the General Meeting of the biennial international oral history conference. The President of the Association is Rina Benmayor, from the United States, and current Council members come from Australia, Barbados, Brazil, England, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Spain, Turkey and the United States.
