The Album is a convenient organizational tool for your recordings. You can create albums by topic, name of person making the recording, book chapters if you are a writer, and so on. Language, speech, and commuications educators and students find Albums especially useful for organization and feedback.
An Album is also a ideal foundation for creating a Flash playlist player that you can embed in any web page, blog, or social media profile. Note: You can email the link to the Album to anyone you choose whether you have made the Album and its recording are Public or Private, for playback, downloading and more.
You can auto-assign recordings to an Album for individual registered phone numbers or Skype accounts. You can access this auto-assign feature by going to My Account tab > Registered phone numbers or Registered Skype accounts.
How to create an album
- To create an Album you have 3 choices – start with: (1) “My Albums” tab at the top of your My Home page [easiest] OR (2) on-the-fly when you assign a recording to an album from the My recording dashboard OR (3) on-the-fly when you assign a recording to an album from the individual recording Page view.
Choice #1 – easiest: My Albums tab from My Home page
Choice #2 – on-the-fly: From My recordings dashboard > Albums +/-
Choice #3 – on-the-fly: From the Page view > Albums
- Create a new album
- Click on Create my album! button when done
- Type in a name for your album and well as a short description [optional]. For names of people, we suggest this last name_first name approach: Smith_Mary to make it easier to find those Albums alphabetically. This is because you can search within Album names.
- Change security level from Private to Public if you want to allow visitors to your Evoca account to see the album and listen to its recordings. You also must make it Public if you want to use it as the foundation for a playlist player.
- Add an image – optional. It will signals to public viewers what the album is about and also will appear in a playlist player.
