Create an album

The Album is a convenient organizational tool for your recordings. You can create albums by topic, name of person making the recording, book chapters if you are a writer, and so on. Language, speech, and communications educators and students, research teams, and oral historians find Albums especially useful for organization and feedback.

You can auto-assign a registered user’s recordings to an Album  My Account  tab > Registered phone numbers or Registered Skype accounts.

How to create an album

Click on “My Albums” tab from My Home page, then click on “Create an album” link

You now will see the “Create a new album” screen

  • Type in a name for your album and a short description [optional]. For names of people, we suggest this last name_first name approach, such as  “Smith_Mary” to make it easier to find those Albums alphabetically.
  • Album’s default security level is Private. Change to Public if you want to allow public visitors to your Evoca account to see the album and listen to its recordings.
  • Add an image – optional. It will signals to public viewers what the album is about.

Two additional methods for creating Albums on-the-fly

Assign a recording to an album from the My recording dashboard

Click on the Albums “+/-” cell for your selected recording in the My Recordings dashboard

OR

Assign a recording to an album from the individual recording Page view

First Click on the Page view

Get page view

Then Click on Albums link

Album_Assign Albums from Page view

More: An Album is also an ideal foundation for creating a Flash playlist player that you can embed in any web page, blog, or social media profile. You should make it Public if you want to use it as the foundation for a playlist player. You can also add an image to signal to the viewer what the album is about.

Note: You can email the link to the Album to anyone to view/listen, regardless as to whether you choose to make the Album and its recording Public or Private.
