Recording your Skype calls is one of the most innovative, convenient call recording features of your Evoca Express subscription. In addition to recording your own voice, you can also record Skype interviews and Skype conference calls.
How to record using Skype
Getting started:
- Register your Skype account in your Evoca My Account section > Registered Skype accounts. You can register up to 30 Skype accounts to make it easy to record from any of your phone numbers and/or enabling a team to record to one account
- Add the Evoca Call Recorder to your Skype contact list and also the Evoca Chat contact to receive a post-recording confirmation chat with links to listen, download, order a transcription, and more. Note: Adding the Recorder and Chat are one-time set-up actions. It may take time for these two contacts to be available depending on Skype’s network traffic.
Use either of these two options to record your own voice:
Option #1: Login to your Evoca account. On the My Home page click on the Skype button to immediately launch the Skype call.

Option #2: From your Skype application, click on the contact Evoca Skype Recorder. Add it to your Skype contact list any time by using the Skype contact search feature.
Click on the green Call button. During the brief connect time you will see this message: “your call is being forwarded at no additional charge.” Then, the instant you are connected to Evoca you will hear the standard Evoca welcome voice prompt. After hearing the prompt, you can begin after the beep.
To end the call and access your recording:
- Click on the red telephone icon in Skype to hang up. The recording will be saved immediately in your online Evoca account, accessible in your My Recordings dashboard on your My Home page.
Or
- If you have chosen to Enable post-recording options for your Skype account, press any key on the on-screen Skype phone pad to hear the menu: save, listen, erase and re-record. Note: you can enable and disable this post-recording option using the Edit feature in your Registered Skype account(s) page.
Evoca also will send you a Skype chat message to confirm that the recording was saved with several links that allow you to listen to the recording immediately and email a link to the recording to anyone. You can also directly download the recording and and embed a player widget into your blog or website using the copy/paste code Evoca auto-generates for you. Make sure that you have added the Evoca Chat contact to your Skype contact list or go to Skype > Preferences > Allow messages from: Anyone.
