Record using Skype

Recording your Skype calls is one of the most innovative, convenient call recording features of your Evoca subscription. In addition to recording your own voice, you can easily record Skype interviews and Skype conference calls, voice-only and the audio stream of video calls.

One-time set up:

• #1 Register your Skype account in your Evoca My Account section > Registered Skype accounts. Managing a team or class? You can register up to 30 Skype accounts to make it easy to for them to record their own voice, interviews, or conference calls from their registered Skype accounts. All recordings are saved to your central Evoca account.
• #2 Add the Evoca Call  Recorder to your Skype contact list
• #3 Add the Evoca Chat contact to receive a post-recording confirmation messages with links to listen, download, order a transcription, and more. 

Record – choose from 2 easy methods

Method #1: From your My Home page, click on the Skype button, which immediately activates the Evoca Call Recorder

OR

Method #2 – From inside your Skype application, click on the contact named:  Evoca Call  Recorder

Then click on the green Call button.

Using either method, the instant you are connected to Evoca, you will hear the standard Evoca welcome voice prompt. After hearing the prompt and tone, begin talking!

End the call. Save and access your recording

Click on the red telephone icon in Skype to hang up. The recording will be instantly saved as an MP3 format file in your online Evoca account, accessible in your My Recordings dashboard on your My Home page. You can change the title and take other useful editing and sharing actions.

To use the post-recording options menu: save, listen, erase and re-record, press any key on the on-screen Skype numerical phone pad. Note: you can enable and disable this post-recording option using the Edit feature in your Registered Skype account(s) page.

Evoca also will send you a Skype chat message to confirm that the recording was saved with several links that allow you to listen to the recording immediately and email a link to the recording to anyone. You can also directly download the recording and and embed a player widget into your blog or website using the copy/paste code Evoca auto-generates for you. Make sure that you have added the Evoca Chat contact to your Skype contact list or go to Skype > Preferences > Allow messages from: “Anyone”.
