How to use your computer as an online digital recorder

Step 1: Login to your My Home page. Locate the Microphone button. Make sure your computer microphone is working. Learn more about recording with your computer microphone.


Step 2: Click on the Microphone button. The online microphone appears.

Step 3: Click on the Record button. Start talking!

  • Pause, play, and resume recording any time
  • Or clear to start again.


Step 4: When your recording session is completed, choose any of these options before clicking on the Save button.

  • Add a Title, Description, Tags
  • Change privacy setting from Private to Public
  • Email it to other people

Step 5: Done! Go to your My Home page for more actions

You can email the recording to anyone. Publish it on any web page or blog. Post it to your  social media pages: Facebook fan page or profile page and Twitter.  And you and your online visitors can listen on any computer, smartphone, or tablet. Or keep it private.

How to use your phone as a digital online recorder

Step 1: Dial your favorite Evoca worldwide phone number

  • Save it to speed dial any time

Step 2: Hold your phone as a microphone for you and your interviewee. Start talking!

  • For example: “This is Jane Gladstone here in Stamford, Connecticut with Joe McCarthy interviewing him about about why he is running for a second term on the Stamford School Board. Hello Joe! Tell us why a Stamford resident should vote for you.”
  • Hint: Use your speaker phone or regular phone setting depending on background noise.

Step 3: Hang up when you have completed your recording. It is instantly saved in your online account.

  • You will receive an email confirmation message from Evoca.

Step 4: Listen, share or keep the recording private.
