Manage post recording options

Evoca offers the post recording options menu to enable you or anyone using a phone number or Skype account registered to your Evoca account, or using your dedicated local or toll-free phone number or your custom Skype call recorder, to take these actions when a recording is completed:

Save, Listen, Erase and Re-record, Cancel and Hang up, Repeat the Menu

This feature is similar to the voice mail feature you hear when leaving a message. It allows you or anyone else using the Evoca phone recording feature to “polish” your recording.

Enabling post recording options is a self-service option. Because not all subscribers want post recording options menu Enabled, the default setting for post recording options upon sign up for phone and Skype recording is Disabled.

To activate the post recording menu during call recording, change your setting to “Enabled” for: one or more registered phone number[s], one or more Skype account[s], and if you have a Local or Toll-Free subscription, for the dedicated phone number. You can change Disabled to Enabled, or back to Disabled at any time.

How to change post recording options settings

Step 1: Go to My Accounts > Registered phone numbers [or Registered Skype accounts] to select the number/account. Click on the Edit icon to the left of the phone number or Skype account name.

Step 2: To change the setting from “Disabled” to “Enabled”, find the radio button with “Disabled”

Step 3: And click on the “Enabled” radio button, then Update.

When “Enabled”, you will hear this voice prompt: “When you have completed your recording, press any key on your phone to hear the post-recording options menu.”

Then you will hear these post-recording options:

  • Press “1” to save
  • Press “2” to listen
  • Press “3” to erase and re-record
  • Press “4” to cancel and hang up
  • Press “5” to repeat this menu

Hint for improving or “polishing” your recording results: After you Press “2″ to listen, you want to re-record your message, then Press “3″ to erase and re-record. You will hear the prompt inviting you to record. Talk. When you have stopped talking, press any key to hear the post-recording options menu again. Press “2″ to listen to your new recording. Press “1″ to save or choose any other option until you are satisfied with your recording.
