Evoca Express Local and Evoca Express Toll-Free subscribers can create and change the welcome prompt any time — every day, week, or month — or keep the original one. It is 100% self-service.
Local and Toll-Free subscribers are also entitled to their own custom Skype call recorder [with your brand name!] that will play the same custom welcome greeting.
Hint: Remember to smile while recording your voice. This is a proven technique of voice-over artists and can make the welcome prompt and engaging, upbeat message. Use a script but don’t read it verbatim, so it will sound natural. Make a few recordings until you are satisfied.
Step #1: Record a new welcome prompt
- Dial the number that comes with your Local or Toll-free account
- Or record using your computer mic
- Or upload an existing recording made by you, a colleague, or voice-over artist
Step #2: Go to dedicated phone number settings page
- Click on My account > Dedicated phone number(s)
- Click on the phone number link. It will open to this page:
Step #3: Select your welcome prompt recording from the drop-down menu
Step #4: Click the Update button at the top of the page – you’re done!
- Check it: Call your dedicated number to listen to the welcome prompt
- You can change to another welcome prompt recording any time. It’s completely self- service.
Hints:
- Ask your leader, one of your sponsors, or a celebrity (or celebrity sound-alike) to record the message!
- Click on “edit” to give the recording a unique title such as: “Welcome prompt_November campaign”
- Create an Album named: “Welcome prompts”; add each new welcome prompt to the Album in case you want to re-use it.
