Add the Evoca Call Recorder to your Skype contact list to record Skype calls.
There are two ways to add the Evoca Call Recorder:
#1 From your Evoca account: Login to your Evoca account > Click on “Skype” button > the Evoca Call Recorder contact will be automatically added to your Skype contact list
OR
#2 From your Skype account: Login to your Skype account > Click on “Contacts” > “Add contact” > type in: Evoca Call Recorder > it will be automatically added to your Skype contact list
Depending on what version of the Skype client you are using, the Evoca Call Recorder contact will appear as

. The call recorder contact will work regardless as to its color. Note: It may take the Skype system an hour or more to activate your Evoca Call Recorder.
How to record Skype calls: Make sure your Skype username is registered to your Evoca account.
Choose from two options:
Option #1: Login to Skype > call one or more other people you want to include in the recording session > add the Evoca Call Recorder just like another “person” on the call . recording will start immediately. To end the recording session either hang up the call or remove the Evoca Call Recorder contact. You will get a confirmation chat message.
OR
Option #2: Start a call recording when logged into your Evoca account > Click on “Skype” button in your My Home page. The recording session will start immediately. To end the recording session either hang up the call or remove the Evoca Call Recorder contact. You will get a confirmation chat message.
If you do not yet have an Evoca subscription, you will be prompted to create a Free Trial account when you try to add the Evoca Call Recorder to the session. You will have 15 minutes of free recording So if you want to record a 45 minute interview, you should sign up for an Evoca paid Plan such as Pro.
To allow Evoca to send you a confirmation chat message: Get the Evoca Chat contact to allow Evoca to send you a confirmation chat message that has useful links to listen, email, download, order a transcription, and more. The Evoca Chat will automatically accept your request to add it.
When you are done recording, simply hang up or remove the Evoca Skype Call Recorder contact from the call, and you will receive a chat message with a link to listen, download or transcribe your recording. The recording will also be stored in your Evoca account with the default title: Skype recording and Private. You can change the title and security setting. You can keep the recording private or publish recordings on websites, blogs, Facebook, and Twitter.

How do I add the Evoca Skype Call Recorder contact to a call?
When you are on a Skype call, click on the “Add callers” button at the top of your Skype software. This will display your list of contacts. Select Evoca Skype Call Recorder contact, and add it to the call. Skype offers some handy instructions too.
Who can listen to my recorded calls?
The default setting makes all of your calls “private”. Want to share it with the world? You can go to your Evoca.com account and under “edit” change the privacy setting for an individual recording to “public”. Whether it’s public or private, you can easily email the recording link it to a colleague or friend to listen to it.
Will the service use my SkypeOut credit?
No, recording your calls with the Evoca Skype Call Recorder is a free Skype to Skype call. You will not be charged any credits for this call. But you can add record an interview or conference call with participants you have outbound called using SkypeOut.
Do I have to create an Evoca account before using the service?
It is easier to set up your Evoca subscription first: free or paid. That way, you will register your Skype account during sign up and then recording Skype calls using your Evoca account will be very easy. If you do not sign up for an Evoca subscription and you simply add the Evoca Skype Call Recorder contact, we will prompt you to create at least a free trial account because our system must have a destination for the saved MP3 recoding of your Skype call.
Is there a limit to the number of people who I can record?
You are only limited to the total number of members you can have on a Skype call. Skype keeps increasing the number of people you can have on a conference call, so check www.skype.com for their latest information.
Can I record SkypeOut calls?
Yes, place your SkypeOut call, and once connected, bring the Evoca Skype Call Recorder contact into the call, just like another party to the call.
Why does the Evoca Skype Call Recorder contact have an orange icon? Is it not online?
The Evoca Skype Call Recorder contact is always available for use, night and day. You might see the icon as

, depending on the version of Skype software you use. You can use the contact just as if it were an online user.
Why don’t I receive any chat messages?
When you record a call with Skype on Evoca you will receive a few chat messages to accept the Terms of Use, as well as the location to download and transcribe your recording. If you are not receiving any of these chat messages, you need set your Skype software preferences to either (1) add the contact called “Evoca chat” just like adding anoy other Skype contact or (2) allow chats from “anyone”. You will find the second option clicking on Tools > Options > Privacy within your Skype software.
How does the transcription service work?
After recording your call, you will be provided with the option of ordering a transcription. Any recording less than 2 hours in length will be transcribed or translated within 4 business days. Recordings longer than 2 hours up to 5 hours will be delivered within 5 business days. Recordings over 5 hours will be quoted on a case-by-case basis. What does the transcription cost?
The transcription will be charged at $2.50 per recorded minute. So, let’s say you recorded a sales call that lasted 15 minutes. Your cost would be 15 X $2.50 = $37.50.
In what format will I receive my transcription?
Transcriptions and translations will be delivered to you by email, as a Microsoft Word™ attachment.
Are your transcriptions done by people or software?
Evoca transcription services are 100% human-powered. We believe that there is no replacement for the human ear when it comes to transcribing a call. We do not use any software for our transcription or translation services.
