Evoca croise l’eau par le podcast

March 30, 2006 in Uncategorized by admin  |  No Comments

Thank you, Franck Mahon, of OhMyPod! for speaking up about Evoca. It is always nice to see another country discover the benefits of audio-browser recording, podcasting, and Evoca. I do hope you will visit OhMyPod! and read the full post below. Merci, Franck!

Last night we got in a beautiful recording from Dramakween1122. It seems that while on Spring Break from Northwestern University, her boyfriend proposed to her. Being engaged for less than a week, Betsy chose to share the experience with the Evoca community. Click below to hear her full story:

Evoca is becoming an international phenom!

March 26, 2006 in Uncategorized by admin  |  No Comments

This week has brought to Evoca some wonderful advances. One of them is the recent additions of foreign community members. So far we have welcomed a man from Ghana, a group from the UK, family members from Colombia, and users from all over Latin America. It is truly exciting to see posts such as this one in Catalan where user No Tan A Prop uses his voice to deliver a press release to defend an environmental cause. We are also seeing Evoca being mentioned on sites like Genbeta in Spain where we are called “Evoca: the flickr of audio”.

Thank you all for making your voices heard…in ANY language. Speak Up!

¡Hablen!

This morning I woke up to find a Google alert in my ‘inbox’ letting me know that [tag]Evoca[/tag] had been mentioned in an article in the [tag]Indystar[/tag] on easy podcasting. I hope you’ll read the article as it does list some great methods for podcasting. There was one quote that caught my eye. Referring to [tag]evoca[/tag], Derek Rudd, podcaster by night and senior flash developer by day for the Carmel tech firm [tag]MediaSauce[/tag], said “[evoca] is the true, simplest, dumbed-down version of podcasting”. Very cool!

Well, as you have guessed by now [tagEvoca[/tag] is in full effect. We have been live and global for nearly a week now. It is a site to see and even more fun to listen to!

As we prepare for bed tonight we are anticipating a couple of articles to be written about us in the local newspaper as well as a few special spots that will spread the message of [tag]empowering[/tag] our voices. I really just wanted to take the time to say thanks though. Thank you for signing up, logging on regularly, and making [tag]Evoca[/tag] part of your website. if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact us.
